The Dutchman´s brief when he was appointed in December last year was to challenge traditional powerhouses Dynamo Kiev and Shakhtar Donetsk but he leaves having failed to make much of an impact. Metallurg are currently 11th in the 16-team league having taken 29 points from 26 games.
Adriaanse said: "I am very sorry that we have to end our co-operation. I am leaving now, with four games to play, because it would be very difficult to get the team prepared for next season during the summer break in Ukraine."
