Football News

Manchester United fans, a very good day to you all.

With the international break now over and fans either rejoicing or revolting - depending on your nationality - we can look forward to regular club action resuming.

What comes with that? Well, gossip and news of course. Read on below for the latest on your team, or watch the video above.

Depay criticism

Memphis Depay arrived at Old Trafford with a significant weight around his shoulders, and thus far he hasn’t really carried that weight without problems.

With the pressure growing on the Dutch star to perform the fact that Holland failed to qualify for Euro 2016 certainly won’t have helped.

However, according to former Dutch international Youri Mulder, that is the least of issues.

Mulder claims there’s growing concern at Old Trafford regarding Depay’s attitude, stating that the 21-year-old acts like a big star even though he’s failed to impress since his switch from PSV.

"He played one good match for United, against Club Brugge," Mulder said.

"In the Premier League he suffers, yet his attitude suggests that he is a big star.

"It seems that people at Manchester United are starting to get fed up with this."

Valdes ready for switch

Meanwhile, Victor Valdes is reportedly open to making a move to Newcastle, with Tim Krul set for a long time out injured.

The Daily Mirror claim that United would be willing to let Valdes leave for any club that isn’t a direct rival. With Newcastle rooted to the bottom of the table we guess they don’t sit in that category.

Pato fee

Lastly, Alexandre Pato - loosely linked with United over the course of the summer transfer window - has been valued at €25m by Corinthians Deputy Director of Football, Eduardo Ferreira.

United might not even be thinking of signing him now that they have Anthony Martial, but if they are then the aforesaid sum is what it’s going to take. Stranger things have certainly happened.
