Real Madrid president Ramon Calderon believes the Primera Liga trophy is bound for the Bernabeu if the team can maintain their current form.

Madrid have won seven of their last eight games, a streak which has propelled them to the top of the table ahead of Barcelona thanks to a better head-to-head record against their arch-rivals.

Calderon told Cadena SER radio station: "I think winning the league now is a lot less difficult than it was two months ago. We have to live this to the fullest, but with humility. I have always been convinced that we could win the league."
