Football News

Gone are the days when a wrestler could only get their point across when he picked up the mic in the ring or cut a backstage promo.

In today's modern world, WWE Superstars are increasingly using social media to share their thoughts and opinions with the WWE Universe.

The latest to do so is popular star Dolph Ziggler, 'The Showoff' posting a cryptic message on his official Twitter account that is sure to fan the flames of recent rumors surrounding his character.

The message was posted on Thursday evening and reads as follows:

Ziggler's stream of consciousness is pretty difficult to decipher, but, with speculation that he could be set for a heel turn in the near future, its forthright and determined tone would fit with that move.

Talk of a "nasty reputation" and never playing by the rules certainly sounds like a wrestler that is ready to take on a heel persona.

Of course, having been consistently overlooked for a big push in recent times, the hard working wrestler may simply have been using the message to release some inner frustration. The timing of the tweet, though, suggests otherwise.

Feud building

Having challenged John Cena on this week's Raw there is a growing feeling that Ziggler could be set for a feud against the biggest baby face in the business that could run up to the Hell in a Cell pay-per-view.

Having a heel Ziggler pitted against Cena on the PPV would certainly add an extra level of intrigue to the match.

What's more, it would finally give Ziggler the edge that the WWE creative has failed to give him in recent times - even if it may lose him some popularity within the WWE fan base.

WWE fans: Is a heel turn a good idea for Dolph Ziggler, if so who should he feud with? Have your say in the comments below...
