Juan Mata's performances for Manchester United this season have left fans departing Old Trafford in stunned amazement.

The Spanish midfielder has been on top form for the Red Devils throughout this campaign and was rewarded for this by beating Anthony Martial to the club's Player of the Month award.

He was at the forefront of everything positive for Louis van Gaal's men during September and chipped in with three goals and as many assists.

With the ball at his feet, it would seem his powers are endless - whether it is his left foot or right foot he is able to the drop it on a sixpence.

However, in a video released on his personal YouTube account, Mata took on an incredibly difficult football-basketball crossover challenge. The results? The Spain international is, in fact, human.

The idea of the challenge was for the 27-year-old to caress the ball into a basketball net from different angles on the court. Watch the video below to see how he got on.

Manchester United take on Everton today in what will prove to be a tough challenge, given their recent form against the Toffees.

The Red Devils have not scored in their previous three visits to Goodison and have only taken one point from a possible nine in those games.

Having succumbed to an embarrassing 3-0 defeat to Arsenal last time out, the Old Trafford club will be hoping to get back to winning ways. However, they will have to be at their best if they are to take anything away from Merseyside.
