Recent reports on Lamar Odom have emerged saying his health has improved, however, he is still in Sunrise Hospital in Las Vegas.

The 14-year NBA veteran has been hospitalized since last Tuesday after he was found unconscious in a legal brothel and was placed in a medically induced coma, before regaining consciousness last Friday.

According to the Yahoo! Sports report: "(Odem had) drank Cognac, took too many doses of a brand of "herbal Viagra" that has been the subject of multiple warnings by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration and, according to claims made by a brothel employee captured in 911 recordings released by the Nye County, Nevada, Sheriff's Office, allegedly used cocaine."

The two-time NBA champion was then able to speak a couple of words and breath without the use of machines, and he continued making steps towards recovery over the weekend, according to ESPN.

It had even improved to the point where Odom was able to text and speak in sentences from his hospital bed, according to a report by Broderick Turner and Matt Pearce of the Los Angeles Times.

Several of his former NBA teammates, friends, and family have gone and visited the 35-year-old while he has been in the hospital, showing he is loved by many.

While further tests need to be taken in order to determine the internal damage which he has done to his body due to the drugs he had taken on that night in the legal brothel, at least with signs of structured communication towards others, we know he is doing better than what he was a week ago.
