Jimmy Graham slammed by Carolina Panthers star after Seattle Seahawks loss

Football News

The Seattle Seahawks capitulated to their fourth loss of the season against the Carolina Panthers on Sunday.

The Seahawks managed to throw away a lead yet again, as Greg Olsen hauled in a late touchdown pass from Panthers quarterback Cam Newton to give Carolina a 27-24 win at CenturyLink Field. Despite playing arguably his best game since joining from New Orleans, Jimmy Graham was a target in post-game interviews.

Thomas Davis was speaking to reporters after the win and the linebacker absolutely eviscerated Graham, calling him out in sensational style.

Graham Gets Slammed

Davis discussed the trash talk that was passed between him and Graham all game, before making a damning indictment about the three-time Pro Bowler.

“I don’t even know what to call him. He was out there talking trash,” Davis said, via Joe Person of the Charlotte Observer, before really ripping into the star tight end.

“He’s probably one of those guys who is excited about his production and not really worried about his team losing the game.”

Bad Teammate?

The words seem to ring true for Graham, who has been complaining about his lack of action all season long. Graham has been desperate to get the ball in his hands, rather than blocking for star running back Marshawn Lynch, which seem to suggest that Graham has somewhat of a me-first approach.

The Seahawks are now 2-4 on the season and need to step things up drastically if they want to reach the playoffs. They will need Jimmy Graham to put in more performances like he did against Seattle, but the tight end has to become a better teammate.
