Jurgen Klopp is considering the idea of bringing Lazar Markovic back to Liverpool from his loan spell at Fenerbahce in January.
This is according to the Liverpool Echo, who understand that Klopp is an admirer of the 21-year-old attacking winger.
Markovic was deemed surplus to requirements by Brendan Rodgers at the start of the current campaign and a season-long loan deal to Fenerbahce was subsequently arranged. However, it has emerged that the Reds do have an option to bring him back to Anfield in the New Year - and Klopp may decide to do just that.

Fortunately for Liverpool, Fenerbahce do not have an option to sign the Serbia international on a permanent deal at the end of the season.
Markovic has impressed in Turkey, although he has only made a handful of appearances because of a back injury. The talented winger, who cost Liverpool £20 million in the summer of 2014, went viral on social media last month with a stunning run against Besiktas in which he showed off his remarkable pace.
The former Benfica ace produced a few memorable moments in his debut season with Liverpool but also struggled at times - particularly when played out of position by Rodgers.
Liverpool fans want Markovic back
Some Liverpool fans are confident that Markovic will succeed at Anfield under Rodgers’ successor - and here are a few tweets to prove it.
Markovic: The ideal attacking player for Klopp
That Markovic is fast and technically sound should make him the ideal attacking player for Klopp. As long as he’s prepared to work hard and press tirelessly in every match, there’s no reason why he can’t become a key player for the Reds in the near future.
Bringing him back to Anfield in January could prove to be a masterstroke.
