Deion Sanders calls the San Francisco 49ers pathetic after Seahawks loss

Buffalo Bills v Miami Dolphins

The San Francisco 49ers have not made a great start to life with head coach Jim Tomsula.

The Niners find themselves struggling with a well below-par 2-5 record after last night's loss to their bitter rivals, the Seattle Seahawks, on Thursday Night Football.

Former 49ers star Deion Sanders was speaking on CBS Sports following the 49ers crushing 20-3 loss to the Seahawks, and 'Prime Time' absolutely laid into the current state of his former employers.

“This San Francisco 49ers football team and the fans should be ashamed,” Sanders said on CBS.

Deion then went on to blast everyone from the players out there on the gridiron, to the ownership for providing fans with a roster that is not fit to tie the laces of the squad that went to the Super Bowl in 2012.

“The management and ownership should be ashamed," he added. "This team is three years removed from a Super Bowl and they’re putting that product. Colin Kaepernick has nowhere to go, nowhere to throw. We’re here seeing this live. No one is open. They’re not blocking a soul."

And then, Sanders would go on to deliver his final blow, calling the team "pathetic".

"This is pathetic for a team that was in the Super Bowl just a few years ago. They lost a darn good coach and some really good players.”

This is genuinely brutal. The former NFL Defensive Player of the Year - which he won during his season at the 49ers - has laid into every aspect of the franchise.

He is right, though, the Niners need change all over the field and in the boardroom.
