San Francisco 49ers fans tear into Colin Kaepernick after awful play against Seahawks

Football News

The San Francisco 49ers have made an awful start to the 2015 NFL season, and so - in truth - has Colin Kaepernick.

The former Nevada quarterback has seriously underperformed so far in the new campaign, not playing at all like a franchise quarterback on a contract that is worth up to $126million.

Kaep Struggling

49ers fans have seemingly put up with Kaep's poor play to start the season, shifting blame onto a bad offensive line and rookie head coach Jim Tomsula so far. But that stopped last night, as the Niners were trounced 20-3 by the Seattle Seahawks.

It can certainly be said that Kaep isn't getting any help from his offensive line, but badly thrown passes are on him and so is his shocking 134 total passing yards last night.

Reaction From Fans

The reaction from the 49ers fans can be split up into multiple groups. Firstly, you have this bunch who think Colin Kaepernick is trash:

The Niners were poor on offense all game and their lack of fourth quarter comeback - against a Seattle team that has been giving them up like candy - is worrying, to say the least.

Kaepernick isn't all to blame for this, but he has to shoulder some of the responsibility and show serious improvement over the next few weeks.
