Ahead of the Manchester derby on Sunday afternoon, one City fan decided to conduct an experiment: is it possible to buy United’s fans?

Well, as it turns out, it is indeed possible.

Of course, were the same experiment conducted outside of Old Trafford on Sunday afternoon, it’s unlikely that any match-going United fans would have taken the money.

Those outside of Manchester United’s home ground earlier this week were at the stadium, presumably, to take a look at the museum and perhaps spend a few quid in the Megastore.

United the narrow favourites against City

The Red Devils will move to the top of the Premier League table on Sunday afternoon if they beat City and Arsenal slip up against Everton on Saturday afternoon.

Manchester City, though, come into the derby off the back of four straight wins.

Manuel Pellegrini will be without two of his key players - Sergio Aguero and David Silva - but the league leaders will still prove difficult to beat this weekend.
