Carlo Ancelotti backs Arsenal to win the Premier League

Can Arsenal win the Premier League? Now, that’s a question all Gunners will be ready to answer with a big fat yes given how they’ve started the season, and it would appear the optimism is contagious. Former Real Madrid boss Carlo Ancelotti has weighed in on the topic and believes that Arsenal will lift England’s most prestigious piece of silverware this term, stating that he’d watch out for them when he asked who were the champions elect. It should also be noted that he’s been linked with taking Arsene Wenger’s job in the past, so interesting stuff to say the least. However, and this is a big however, reports from the weekend suggest that Wenger could be offered a new contract until 2019. The proposal, which would mark a two-year contract extension, is expected to be a reward for guiding Arsenal to the top of the table. Of course, that could change quickly. Just ask Jose Mourinho.
