Aubameyang interest

Jurgen Klopp has already made it unequivocally clear that he isn’t going to kick off his Anfield reign by raiding his former club Borussia Dortmund for its star men, but when has the media ever paid heed to the claims of managers?

Never, is the answer you’re looking for. As a result, it’s somewhat unsurprising to see French newspaper Le 10 Sport suggesting that Liverpool are one of the frontrunners to be competing for Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang's signature in January, along with Spanish heavyweights Barcelona.

Given his relationship with Klopp, Merseyside might be an attractive proposition, but we’ll wait to see how that one unfolds.

Sakho's admirers

Elsewhere, former Red Mark Lawrenson has attributed Mamadou Sakho’s improvement to the fans, stating that the Frenchman is getting better because of their backing.

Sakho has been arguably Liverpool’s best player of late, and judging from fan reaction on Twitter he’s fast becoming an Anfield favourite.

Klopp's scouts

Lastly, supporters can get an insight into just who Klopp is interested in purchasing in the January transfer window through the work details he’s been handing his scouts.

Reports claim that the Reds have been watching young Paris Saint-Germain duo Christopher Nkunku and Lamine Ba, with representatives from Anfield present at last week’s Uefa Youth League fixture between PSG and Real Madrid.
