WWE round-up: Roman Reigns becomes No.1 contender for World Heavyweight Championship

Published Add your comment

The WWE last night held a Fatal-4-way match to determine who the new number one contender is for Seth Rollins’ World Heavyweight Championship belt annnnd the winner was none other than Roman Reigns. With Rollins on commentary, Reigns won the decisive event by way of spearing Kevin Owens, setting up a showdown with his former Shield brethren at Survivor Series next month. Victory over Rollins would mark the end of a long and arduous road to the top for Reigns, though it’s by no means assured. Meanwhile, we can provide an update to a story we delivered to you yesterday concerning Vince McMahon supposedly being in sixes and sevens backstage at Hell in a Cell over the amount of blood on show in the fight between Brock Lesnar and The Undertaker. New reports suggest McMahon is furious with Lesnar for pushing away the doctor he sent out to clean up the blood, in what was by all accounts an unplanned, unstaged sequence. We’ll have more as it develops.
