Christian may have quietly retired from the WWE

Former WWE Champion Christian may have quietly retired from the business, as he has been moved from the current roster section to the alumni section on the WWE website.

The Canadian hasn't competed in the ring since March 2014 when he defeated Alberto Del Rio, Sheamus, and Dolph Ziggler in a Fatal 4-Way match. This was before he suffered a concussion which sidelined him.

He has been on WWE TV several times since then, most recently on Raw and on the Stone Cold podcast a couple of weeks ago with his former tag team partner and best friend Edge.

If you watch that podcast episode back on the WWE Network, you'll notice that Christian does speak about his career in the past tense, and his bio on the WWE website refers him as having "left active competition", meaning he has probably retired quietly.

Christian was one of those superstars that helped revolutionize the WWE, especially the tag team division, alongside Edge, The Hardy Boyz, and The Dudley Boyz, with their high-flying and risky stunts performances in the ring.

While he may have thought he was still able to compete, there is no point of risking injury again just to be brought back for the sake of it. He doesn't have anything to prove. He could only be brought back for the right storyline, and that isn't available right now.

Retirement might not be the option he would have picked, and it is yet to be confirmed that he has wrestled in the ring for the last time. However, if this is the case, Christian has left the ring in a respectable position at the top of his game.

If he has retired, thank you Christian for your services to the WWE!
