Chelsea keen on securing deal for Antoine Griezmann if they lose Diego Costa

Published 1 Comments

Replacing a striker like Diego Costa is far from an easy task, but Chelsea already have a contingency plan for if he returns to Spain in the near future. Reports claim that Atletico Madrid star Antoine Griezmann is the man they see as being an ideal substitute, with Costa apparently not being averse to heading back to La Liga as part of the deal. Griezmann is quickly growing in stature on the global scene and certainly appears to have an admirer in Roman Abramovich. Elsewhere, Jose Mourinho’s season went from bad to worse yesterday as the Blues were dumped out of the League Cup by Stoke City on penalties. Mourinho then proceeded to walk out of an interview after the match when he was asked what he described as a ‘negative’ comment. It looks like the pressure is getting to the Special One.
