It’s generally a 50/50 split, but there are a good many Manchester United supporters who have given up on ever seeing Cristiano Ronaldo play a competitive game for the club again. The Real Madrid superstar, who left Old Trafford in 2009, appears to have the world quite literally eating out of the palm of his hands at the Santiago Bernabeu, though a new report could be the first hint of something happening that would shock all. As relayed by various sources, the player’s close friend - a man by the name of Semedo - has claimed that Ronaldo could possibly finish his career in England. If he does, there’s surely virtually no other club he’d consider than United. Meanwhile, Wayne Rooney has taken a panning on Twitter after another ineffective display. The Red Devils captain was criticised on social media after failing to produce the goods against Middlesbrough in the League Cup. United lost that game on penalties.
