Injuries really are becoming a common occurrence in the WWE these days as we have seen several superstars disappear from TV recently.

Erick Rowan has recently returned from injury and other stars have faced time out of the ring this year due to injury.

Down again

Prior to WrestleMania 31, Rusev was one of the top heels in the country as his anti- America mission received a lot of resistance from the fans.

A loss to John Cena at WrestleMania and subsequent losses in the rivalry with Cena have started his fall down the WWE roster.

Since then, mediocre story lines and arguably one of the strangest love triangles ever have really seen the former unstoppable force become just another name.

The direction for Rusev right now is unclear but today's news confirms one thing about his immediate future.

Reports surfaced online that Rusev went down injured during a match with Neville at this week's Main Event tapings.

This reports have now been confirmed as he has been ruled out for three to four weeks with a proximal bicep tendon injury.

It is the second big injury that Rusev has been hit with this year after he previously damaged his ankle which saw him spend several weeks on crutches.

While this is expected to be a shorter recovery time than his last injury for Rusev, it will be interesting to see if he returns in the same role.

Are they building something?

Recently Rusev has been teaming with Sheamus and King Barrett in a sting of six man tag team matches.

Everyone seems unsure about this faction and if it is a plan that WWE are trying to push or if it is simply a random pairing.

Whatever their current plan, Rusev being out for several weeks could mean a new role for him upon his return.
