Austin Rivers has got his comeuppance for throwing a seat cushion into the stands during the Los Angeles Clippers’ game against the Sacramento Kings, and it’s come in the form of a $25,000 fine from the league. The NBA sanctioned Rivers yesterday after confirming that the cushion Rivers threw hit a woman in the second row at Sleep Train Arena. Rivers himself claimed that he had apologised for throwing the ‘pillow’ during the match and that he had learnt his lesson. The Clippers won the game 111-104 Over to the NFL and the New England Patriots have moved their record to 7-0 after beating the Miami Dolphins. The match itself was fairly straight-forward, even though Tom Brady and company weren’t particularly flashy, finishing 36-7 on Thursday night. The victory marks the second time in the franchise’s history that they’ve managed to get to 7-0, whilst the Dolphins fall to 3-4.
