Sir Alex Ferguson made Cristiano Ronaldo cry at Man United

One would be forgiven for thinking that Cristiano Ronaldo always had an easy ride in football due to his incredible talents. Tricks, goals and a brilliant smile to boot, he certainly has an air of charisma difficult to ignore. However, Spanish journalist Guillem Balague has revealed in his new book how Ronaldo was reduced to tears in the Manchester United dressing room early on in his Old Trafford career, by none other than Sir Alex Ferguson. It’s also claimed the senior players in the squad refused to let him forget it - perhaps that was the making of the man. Across to transfer news and United could make a huge bid for Gareth Bale in January. In a saga that’s unlikely to die anytime soon, the next step could be the Red Devils making a concerted effort to land the Wales international. It would be the coup of the season if they manage to do so.
