He may have left Liverpool on high but things haven’t been all that rosy for Steven Gerrard since his move to the MLS. The legendary midfielder’s new club, LA Galaxy, were knocked out of the MLS Cup by the Seattle Sounders, and the player has admitted that next season could well be his last as a professional footballer. The 35-year-old admitted that he was desperate to go out on a high, but also said a number of factors had taken him by surprise since his move Stateside. Gerrard leaving the game isn’t a sight anyone wants to bear witness to, but it has to happen sometime. Meanwhile, Liverpool fans will be pleased to know that Lucas Leiva is statistically the best tackler in the Premier League this year. The Brazilian has won the most tackles in England’s top flight so far this term having come out on top in over 50 challenges. That’s according to EA SPORTS’ Player Performance Index.
