Louis van Gaal has decided to drop Ander Herrera for Manchester United's Champions League clash against CSKA Moscow this evening.
Wayne Rooney has once again been given the nod to lead the line for the Red Devils at Old Trafford. Jese Lingard, meanwhile, has also been handed a start having featured in the first encounter in Moscow back in October.
Herrera has started just five games for Manchester United in the Premier League this term, and calls have grown for the Spaniard to start on a more regular basis as the goals have started to dry up. Van Gaal's team haven't scored in any of their last three fixtures, and will be desperate for a win having secured four points from their first three Champions League games.
David de Gea starts in goal as usual, while Chris Smalling, Daley Blind, Ashley Young and Marcos Rojo make up the backline.
Further up the field, Van Gaal has opted for a solid midfield partnership in Bastian Schweinsteiger and Michael Carrick, while Mata starts in the number 10 role. Lingard and Martial, who scored in the 1-1 draw against Moscow last time round, start out wide, either side of Rooney.
