Cristiano Ronaldo angered by Florentino Perez's pre-match slap

Real Madrid president Florentino Perez may have been messing about when he gave Cristiano Ronaldo a cheeky slap across the face, but the superstar did not look in the mood for jokes.

Ahead of the Champions League clash with Paris Saint-Germain, Perez was standing at the doors of the Bernabeu waiting for Real Madrid's first team to arrive.

He duly gave Isco one of those cool guy handshakes, but he had something very different in store for Ronaldo.

He refused to let go of the Portuguese's hand, instead pulling him close and questioning him on a recent interview he did with German magazine Kicker.

In that interview, Ronaldo refused to rule out an exit from Real Madrid and Perez wanted an explanation.

Perez then gave Ronaldo the aforementioned slap across the face before sending him on his way, but Ronaldo made sure he got the last word in. The video below clearly shows Ronaldo saying: "What did I say? I never said that. I said it differently."

Not a happy man

There was a definite edge in his voice. It was clear the confrontation with Perez had irked him ahead of what would be a 1-0 victory for Los Blancos. However, with his focus obviously affected by the club president, Ronaldo failed to shine against the team he has been tipped to join.

Indeed, both Laurent Blanc and PSG president Nasser El-Khelaifi were coy on their reported interest in bringing Ronaldo to Parc des Princes next summer. Ronaldo did his best to throw fuel on the fire, appearing to whisper sweet nothings into Blanc's ear on the final whistle.

Maybe that was for you, Florentino.
