Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp has recalled midfielder Ryan Kent from his loan spell at League One outfit Coventry City, reports the Daily Mail.

This has been confirmed by Sky Blues boss Tony Mowbray, who has revealed that the revered Reds coach wants to take a look at the exciting youngster during the international break.

Kent, 18, has enjoyed a steady stint in England's third tier and scored his first goal for Coventry in their thrilling 4-3 victory over Barnsley last night.

However, it now appears that the wide-man will return to Merseyside in hope of impressing Liverpool's new boss.

When discussing the short-term future of Kent, Mowbray stated: "Ryan is going back to Liverpool for a few days prior to the international call-up so that the new coach can have a look at him.

"All the loan players are going back for a few days I think, that’s fine by us; that’s good. When a new manager comes in he wants to have a look at all of his players."

It's far from certain as to whether Kent will be sent back to Coventry after the international break or whether Klopp will hand him an opportunity to progress with the first-team at Anfield.

One thing is for sure, the club's faithful will be expecting to see their best crop of young players progress under the guidance of Klopp.

According to the Liverpool Echo, the young trio of Cameron Brannagan, Pedro Chirivella and Ryan Fulton have all flown to Russia with the Liverpool squad ahead of Thursday's Europa League clash against Rubin Kazan, so it appears that Klopp is ready to put his faith in the next generation.

Reds fans will be hoping to see their young players produce the goods on the European scene, but they will also be pleased to know that the first-team duo of Christian Benteke and Philippe Coutinho could also feature tomorrow evening.
