Football News

Arsenal fans, welcome to your daily round-up.

You’re likely here looking for the latest news concerning your club. If that’s the case then fear not, you have come to the right place.

Read on below for the biggest Gunners-centric information out there today. Leave thoughts and comments in the box provided if you have the time.

Guardiola's advice for the Arsenal faithful

It would have been easy for Pep Guardiola to sit smugly as Arsenal made their way back to north London with their tails firmly between their legs, but the Spaniard sent a positive message to Gunners fans who are reeling from the 5-1 result in Munich.

Guardiola said Arsenal supporters need to be calm, as they weren’t technically out of qualifying for the knockout stages yet.

"Arsenal fans need to be calm. The players are going to go and try to win against Olympiakos, we might not be able to do that but not because we weren't fighting but we want to be first in the group," Guardiola said, as per ESPN.

Of course, it’s easier said than done when Arsenal are sitting bottom of their group on three points, but it’s far from an impossible task given they’ve still got Olympiacos to play.

Hargreaves panned for commentary

Next up, Gunners fans were quick to blast Owen Hargreaves on Twitter for his commentary during the Bayern drubbing.

Hargreaves, coincidentally a former Bayern man, made a number of comments that were taken as being biased by the Arsenal faithful.

Here are a few of our favourite Twitter responses:

Piers Morgan's Benzema offer

Rounding us off nicely, Piers Morgan has joked that he will stump up Karim Benzema’s bail money if he signs for Arsenal in the January transfer window.

The Real Madrid striker has admitted to playing a part in the blackmail case over a sex tape involving fellow France international Mathieu Valbuena, but Morgan claimed he would help the Frenchman out if he agrees to switch clubs.

We assume Benzema’s got bigger fish to fry at the moment.
