Seth Rollins' devastating injury has sent shockwaves through the WWE Universe, and the powers that be are desperately having to rework months worth of storylines as a result.
And it looks like one of the biggest names in the business is to be amongst those hit hardest by the former Shield member's long-time absence.
According to Dave Meltzer, speaking on the latest edition of Wrestling Observer Live, the severity of Rollins' knee injury means that the WWE's exciting plans for Triple H at WrestleMania have now been shelved.

HHH was widely expected to take on the Rollins at the 'Grandest Stage of Them All' next April. But, with Rollins facing up to eight months out of the ring, Meltzer claims the WWE have now dumped the plan.
Although Rollins and Triple H have been long-time allies, there were rumblings that the WWE were about to set in place tension between the pair that would eventually lead to a confrontation at WrestleMania 32 - Triple H himself was said to be particularly keen on having the match.
Unfortunately, as with the Heavyweight title, the WWE's best-laid plans have been rendered useless after Rollins' ACL/MCL tear - an injury that likely ends his chances at a 'Mania appearance.
What's more, as What Culture noted last month, Rollins vs Triple H was being lined up as a co-main event match for the big night at AT&T Stadium.
And, with Stone Cold having recently ruled himself out of an appearance, losing an opponent for the iconic HHH is yet another blow to Vince McMahon's hopes of creating a 'Mania match card that will break records.
There is, of course, plenty of time for WWE Creative to create a new storyline that gets Triple H a match at WM32. However, whether they can find one that rivals the student-teacher narrative that was building with Rollins remains to be seen.
