Football News

Everybody knows that Greg Hardy attacked a woman and severely beat her up in his home. This isn't a surprise to anyone at all.

However, that doesn't make it any less shocking when images emerge of the truly horrific injuries that poor woman suffered at the hands of a man who weighs double what she does.

This is what happened today, as Deadspin published a gallery of 48 photos, showing the true level and end result of Hardy's attack on Nicole Holder.

It is disturbing and sickening, and somehow Greg Hardy is still being paid millions of dollars in the National Football League.

Do you want to know what else is even more disgusting in light of these pictures coming out? The Dallas Cowboys and their owner Jerry Jones, who A) Decided to sign Hardy at all after he nearly killed a woman, and B) That Jones called the player "a real leader".

If these are the actions of a leader, then I don't want to know what Joseph Randle did to be cut by Dallas. Hopefully, these disgraceful images are what it takes to get Greg Hardy out of the league for good.

And don't think we haven't forgotten about you either, Roger Goodell. It''s good to finally know what beating a woman black and blue, strangling her, then throwing her on a futon covered in guns is worth. TEN WHOLE GAMES (reduced to four on appeal). Way to show some back-bone, Roger!

This whole sorry situation is sickening. The "Shield of the NFL", which Goodell so often seeks to defend, has been shattered. Following the actions of Messrs Rice, Peterson, and Hardy, it is limply held together by sellotape and desperate PR moves.
