Football News

Mesut Ozil's latest comments should excite the Arsenal faithful in the club's pursuit of success this season.

As reported by the club's official site, the Germany international, who has enjoyed a fine campaign in north London so far, has insisted that he's feeling fit and not carrying any injuries.

In truth, since arriving on English soil in the summer of 2013, the playmaker has come in for criticism but has enjoyed his best spell at the club in recent months.

In fact, with the Gunners sitting alongside rivals Manchester City at the top of the Premier League table, Ozil has been the club's standout player.

And the ex-Real Madrid man has admitted that things are going well, as he stated: “Last season, I was out with my knee injury for a few months.

"This year I feel fit. I have no injuries and can perform well in games. At the moment, things are going really well.”

Great news

There should be no underestimating Ozil's comments; confidence is a huge thing in football and the playmaker most definitely has that in abundance right now.

Ultimately, without any injury worries, there's no reason why the classy midfielder won't be able to lead the Gunners to success this season. Arsenal have a great chance of securing the league title and Ozil has the credentials to lead the club to glory.

Ahead of tomorrow's north London derby, fans of the Gunners will be hoping to see Ozil produce the goods once again.
