Manchester United are deciding whether to cut short Adnan Januzaj's loan spell at Bundesliga outfit Borussia Dortmund.

This has been reported by the Mirror, who claim that the Red Devils hierarchy could ask the German outfit if they would be prepared to send the Belgium international back to Old Trafford.

Januzaj has endured a tricky period at Dortmund, failing to secure a place in Thomas Tuchel's side on a regular basis.

United, on the other hand, have been far from their best in an attacking sense recently, so it appears that the talented youngster would be handed opportunities in Manchester.

The versatile forward featured for the Red Devils at the start of the campaign but completed a surprise switch to Germany late on in the summer transfer window.

However, with things not exactly working out for Januzaj, it appears that he could return to United sooner rather than later.

Big decision

Red Devils chief Louis van Gaal certainly has a big decision to make in his pursuit of success this season. Will the return of Januzaj help the cause in Manchester?

In Memphis Depay, Andreas Pereira and Jesse Lingard, United already possess a number of fine, young attacking options. Lingard, of course, was instrumental as United secured all three points against West Brom yesterday after he netted his first goal for the club.

But Januzaj is an exciting talent and certainly has a great deal of ability. Van Gaal must handle him correctly if he's going to turn him into a star.
