Arsenal fans hail Mesut Ozil but criticise Olivier Giroud

Arsenal failed to overtake rivals Manchester City at the top of the Premier League table after picking up a 1-1 draw against rivals Tottenham at the Emirates this afternoon. 

On an indifferent day for Arsene Wenger's side, the Gunners faithful had a number of views throughout proceedings as they took to Twitter to discuss the duo of Mesut Ozil and Olivier Giroud. 

It was substitute Kieran Gibbs who cancelled out Harry Kane's opener in north London, but it was Germany international Mesut Ozil who was once again lauded by the club's faithful.

Unsurprisingly, the Arsenal goal came from a sublime ball from Ozil, who secured himself a Premier League record in the process. 

The former Real Madrid man has now assisted an Arsenal goal for six Premier League games running. The man nicknamed the 'King of the Assist' really has come to prominence in north London recently. 

Brilliant Ozil 

While the Gunners' classy playmaker produced the goods again, striker Giroud failed to fire as he squandered a number of fine opportunities. Ozil delivered a number of brilliant balls for the France international, but he missed as many as three big chances.

Without the injured Theo Walcott, Giroud, who netted a wonderful goal in Germany during the club's horrific 5-1 defeat to Bayern Munich in mid-week, just wasn't at the races this afternoon, but he will be desperate to get back to his best sooner rather than later.
