Chelsea boss Jose Mourinho could sell some of his underperforming stars in the January transfer window, according to The Sun. 

The report claims that the Portuguese tactician, who has endured a torrid start to the season in west London, could clear out his squad sooner rather than later. 

After winning the Premier League title in style last term, the Blues have already lost as many as seven games in England's elite division in this campaign.

In fact, with just 11 points from their opening 12 fixtures, Chelsea are 13 points behind Manchester United, who currently sit in fourth place in the division. 

It appears, then, that Mourinho is ready to change the dynamic of his squad in the next transfer window. 

In fact, a source close to the Blues boss told The Sun: “He wants to get to the January transfer window to remove the players he considers to be bad apples in the squad and get the club moving in the right direction again.”

But Jose must keep his job 

At this stage, the January transfer window still seems to be some way off for the struggling Blues boss. The self-proclaimed 'Special One' has it all to do to turn things around at Stamford Bridge. 


Against Stoke City this past weekend, with Mourinho banned from the stadium, Chelsea improved but still failed to take anything away from the Britannia stadium.
