A Chelsea fan who branded Liverpool supporters "scouse scum" following the Reds' 3-1 win at Stamford Bridge has been sacked by his inner-city law firm.

Clive O'Connell, who was interviewed on YouTube channel Neeks Sports following the game on October 31, has been let go by international law firm Goldberg Segalla after his derogatory comments. (you can see the video by scrolling down the page)

Rick Cohen, the law firm's managing partner has released a video on YouTube explaining the departure of O'Connell was related to his comments made in the aftermath of the Blues' defeat to Jurgen Klopp's men.

In the original clip, Mr O'Connell said: “Why do you think the Scouse scum are singing 'you're getting sacked in the morning’ when we sang to Benitez ‘we want you to stay’ when he was managing Liverpool.

“Even those nasty, horrible people know that Mourinho is the best manager in the world - they’re scared.”

Although, his quite stunning rant is not where it ended. According to the Liverpool Echo, the lawyer was behind a blog that branded Liverpool fans 'inbred' and compared elderly male supporters to Jimmy Savile.

Mr Cohen explained the comments made by Mr O'Connell were "completely inconsistent" with their ethos as a company.

In 2014, Mr O'Connell was named the best lawyer for insurance law in the United Kingdom, but his world has now been turned upside down by comments he made about a game of football.
