If and when Jose Mourinho is replaced as Chelsea manager there is sure to be a long list of stellar manager’s lining up to take over the Stamford Bridge reigns. Step forward Diego Simeone, who is apparently a new frontrunner for the west London role as he’s looking like quitting Atletico Madrid in the summer of 2016. It’s believed Simeone wants control over transfers and the ability to push for major investment as well. That said, it’s still Mourinho in the hot-seat at the moment, and the Special One is busy trying to save his own job. Certain reports claim he wants to axe a number of Stamford Bridge flops in January and has begged Roman Abramovich to allow him to do so. Will he? We’ll have to wait and find out.
