Cristiano Ronaldo backs Manchester United to win the Premier League

Yes, he’s a Real Madrid superstar, and yes, he is likely to remain at the Santiago Bernabeu for the remainder of his career, but there’s no disputing the fact that Cristiano Ronaldo has a soft spot for Manchester United - one that extends to the belief that they can win the Premier League this year. Optimistic? Certainly. Does that seem to bother Ronaldo? Not at all. The Portuguese star said the Red Devils are good this year and that he expected them to become champions of England. That’s a tough ask, nonetheless. Moving on, United fans were treated to a merging of football and the WWE last night, with Wayne Rooney slapping wrestler Wade Barrett during the organisation’s tour of the UK. The United captain was taunted by Barrett, who said the only two people of championship material were in the ring. Fortunately for Rooney, the encounter ended better than his one with Phil Bardsley.
