Arminia Bielefeld coach Thomas von Heesen admitted he is flattered by reports of Bayern Munich´s interest in his services.

The defending Bundesliga champions sacked coach Felix Magath on Wednesday following the goalless draw with Bochum. With Ottmar Hitzfeld only taking over until the end of the season, word in the Bavarian capital is that Von Heesen is among the candidates to steer Germany´s most successful club next season.

And when asked about the Munich rumours, he told PA Sport: "This is a hint that the job I´ve been doing gets recognised outside Bielefeld."
