Carlo Ancelotti confirms he wasn't approached by Liverpool for managerial role

Published 2 Comments

The hype surrounding Liverpool’s appointment of Jurgen Klopp hasn’t yet died down, but fans will likely still be interested in the comments made by another man who could have taken the job in question. Carlo Ancelotti has revealed his thoughts on the Reds - yes, the very same who was tentatively linked with the Anfield hotseat - and he’s said there was no approach from them concerning him taking charge. The Italian hinted that he would have taken the job, adding that Liverpool were a good team who can be competitive. Interesting, to say the least. Moving swiftly on, Daniel Sturridge could be in contention to feature against Manchester City after the international break, with the striker having supposedly upped his recovery workrate. The England striker hasn’t yet played under Klopp, so his return will be a major boost.
