Not only has Ozil been providing goals, he has also chipped in with a couple himself, and the former Real Madrid man believes the extra practice has helped with his self-belief.

In an interview with the club's official website, the World Cup winner said: "After training there are a few shooting drills that can help with self-belief. In general, when you look at my chances in front of goal, I've taken them well.

"Every player wants to score goals. I'm intending to score more this season than in previous years. It's most important for us to perform well and to be successful - I'm looking forward to giving assists or scoring goals.

"My aim is to score more goals this season than in the last two. I think I'm on a good path and will achieve that."

Put simply, Ozil has been one of, if not the best, player in the Premier League this season.

He has provided ten assists in 11 league games is one of the main reasons Arsenal sit second in the table, level on points with leaders Manchester City.

Joachim Low's decision to leave the midfielder out his squad during the international break will be greatly appreciated by the Gunners as Ozil will be integral in their assault on the title.
