Bayern Munich star Arjen Robben has said he will give Memphis Depay advice as the winger continues to struggle with life at Manchester United.

The Dutch youngster has found his game time severely limited in recent weeks and questions over his attitude continue to surface.

Despite Robben's claim that he will help the Red Devil, the former Chelsea man also says Memphis' form can only change if the forward has the right mentality.

"He is a talented player in a difficult situation, I can give him advice, but the player has to cope with it, show strength and the right mentality.

"It is important in your development as a player, it is not always sunshine, you have difficult periods, especially when you are young."

Memphis has been left out of Holland's squad for the next round of international fixtures and Danny Blind has questioned his teamwork.

According to reports, some Manchester United players have begun to get frustrated with the former PSV Eindhoven man and the comparisons with Nani have already started.

It's still early days in his United career and there is plenty of time to turn it around. But given his hefty transfer fee, United fans will want to see a return of that outlay sooner rather than later.
