Liverpool fans will have to wait until January before they find out who Jurgen Klopp’s first major signing will be, but in the absence of concrete news there’s always transfer gossip to fall back on. One particular batch, hot off the press this week, has Serie B striker Gianluca Lapadula confirming that Liverpool are interested in him, with the Italian saying he was proud that Klopp wants his services. The Pescara frontman has six goals this term, having been released by Parma when they went bankrupt. Meanwhile, former Anfield star Jan Molby has pinpointed set-pieces as being the one area of the team Klopp has to improve in the near future. Molby implied that too much emphasis was being put on taking the perfect corner or free-kick, and that players should just concentrate on getting the ball into the box and challenging for it thereafter.
