Football News

WWE fans, hello and welcome.

It’s the end of the working week, which usually means that at least half of your brain has shut itself down in preparation for the weekend.

We implore you to open up as much of it as possible to ingest the major news from today. Watch the video above for the major headlines and read on below for more.

Stone Cold opens up

If he hadn’t already made it abundantly clear, Stone Cold Steve Austin has no intention of returning to the WWE for WrestleMania 32.

The 50-year-old has long been linked with a comeback - many had hoped this WrestleMania would be the one to entice him out of retirement - but he’s categorically insisted that his heart is no longer in wrestling, so he won’t be caving.

He revealed as much in the latest episode of the Stone Cold Podcast. Sad news, we know.

"I’m not willing to do anything that my heart’s not set on. I love my fans, I love the WWE fans, I love wrestling fans, I love wrestling… I just don’t need to wrestle anymore," he said.

Flair wants Cesaro gig

Moving forward, though, Ric Flair wants to become the manager of Swiss wrestler Cesaro. The Nature Boy revealed on his own podcast that he thought Cesaro was supremely talented.

Unfortunately, it doesn’t look like Vince McMahon is going to give the 34-year-old a real push anytime soon.

Rollins vs. Triple H at SummerSlam 2016

Last but not least, Seth Rollins could be booked against Triple H for next year’s SummerSlam, despite the fact the former WWE World Heavyweight Champion will be missing for up to nine months through injury.

It’s rumoured that Rollins vs. Triple H had initially been pencilled in for WrestleMania 32. Whilst that is now out of the question, it could be a major match come SummerSlam.
