WWE Superstar Daniel Bryan may be asked to return to the WWE by Vince McMahon, according to reports.

The former WWE Champion has been out of action since April earlier this year due to a concussion. At the time, he was the Intercontinental Champion but he had to vacate the title due to injury. WWE are yet to clear him for a return, but recent reports suggest that clearance could be coming soon.

According to Cageside Seats: "Vince McMahon is apparently going back-and-forth on Daniel Bryan, according to the Observer. That could mean he's considering bringing Bryan back to WWE television soon."

Bryan has a huge fan base in the WWE Universe and his return would receive a huge pop, which is exactly what McMahon is looking for during his time of need for the company. His return would boost TV ratings and fill a vital spot on the card for the months to come.

Many of the top WWE Superstars are currently taking time off due to personal reasons or injuries. John Cena and Brock Lesnar are currently taking time off while Randy Orton and Seth Rollins are out injured. WWE needs a big name at the top of the card that will be a crowd puller too and Bryan would be a superb candidate.

The Fall has always been a quiet time for the WWE, as it waits for the new year to come round and heat up once again as it enters WrestleMania season, so bringing back someone like Bryan will definitely be beneficial.

However, you can't ignore the fact he has had two serious injuries in the past two years which have put his WWE career in serious doubt. It's worth the risk due to what he is able to achieve in terms of audience interaction when he is in the ring, but we must remember he is one more bad injury away from retirement.
