Several European heavyweights are keeping tabs on Eden Hazard’s situation at Chelsea and might make swift moves next summer in order to land the talented Belgian.

According to Daily Mail, Spanish giants Real Madrid are serious contenders to lure Hazard away from the west London outfit but may not have it easy, with Paris Saint-Germain set to enter the race.

However, signing Hazard would come at a hefty transfer fee. The valuation could be around £80million.

Hazard has had a troublesome start to the 2015-16 campaign, having featured in 11 games for the Blues in the Premier League, assisting twice but failing to score.

Relationship with Mourinho

The 24-year-old signed a new five-year contract extension earlier this year that keeps him at Stamford Bridge until 2020, but speculation over a growing rift with manager Jose Mourinho might force him to consider his future.

There are very few clubs that have the financial strength to match the valuation of Hazard, with both Los Blancos and PSG known admirers and front-runners for his signature.

Hazard himself claims French legend Zinedine Zidane is his footballing idol and his presence at Real Madrid could tempt him to move to Santiago Bernabeu. Meanwhile, PSG are also hopeful of landing Hazard as the Belgium international already has experience playing in Ligue 1 whilst at Lille before moving to Chelsea.

Another mega-money offer from PSG

As per Daily Mirror reports, PSG paid close to £50million to Chelsea for the services of Brazilian defender David Luiz in 2014 but face an uphill task of convincing the London-based club to part ways with their talisman Eden Hazard.

The French heavyweights have been reigning supreme in France, winning the Ligue 1 title for the last three seasons, while Madrid are ready to add more firepower to their roster to challenge the likes of Barcelona and Atletico Madrid in La Liga.

He has been linked with The Parisians in the past, but Hazard has always insisted he is happy at Chelsea. But current scenarios at the club could state otherwise.

The 2014/15 PFA Player of the Year also had to endure the fact of being left out of the starting line-up more than once by Jose Mourinho this season due to his lack of form.

Despite a lacklustre start to the season, Hazard has shown glimpses of his world-class talent in recent weeks but has failed to inspire Chelsea to get back to winning ways.
