Steven Gerrard says he wants Frank Lampard comparisons to stop

Published 1 Comments

Steven Gerrard is a legend in his own right within the realms of football, but that doesn’t mean he doesn’t have to deal with comparisons to other greats of the game, namely Frank Lampard. Gerrard said that he had hoped people would cease comparing him with his former international teammate after he moved to the MLS, though it hasn’t yet stopped. The Liverpool hero hinted at annoyance on the topic - probably best not to aim any Lampard-centric comments at him. Meanwhile, Raheem Sterling’s now infamous agent, Aidy Ward, has aimed another jibe at Liverpool, accusing them of forcing the midfielder to do things that would impede his development. Ward said the Reds had made Sterling play as a full-back, and talked up the different approach Man City have taken.
