Four potential plans for Seth Rollins' WWE return

The WWE Universe was rocked this month by the news that Seth Rollins suffered a knee injury which would keep him out of action for around six to nine months.

This obviously meant that Rollins had to vacate the WWE World Heavyweight Championship and a new champion will be crowned at Survivor Series.

It’s clearly unfair on Rollins, who has worked so hard his entire career to get to this spot, to have an injury take it away from him, but sometimes that’s just how the cookie crumbles.

Rollins is ridiculously talented inside of the ring which means the WWE will eagerly be waiting to see how he’s recovering so they can throw him into the championship picture upon his return.

He’s a valuable asset to the company and that’s been proven by the faith they’ve put in him time and time again. He’s definitely going to be a top star again when he returns and here are potential feuds I believe could take place when that return does happen.

A lot of rumours are being thrown around regarding a return feud for Rollins, but we could be missing the obvious that Rollins may return and side with The Authority yet again.

Rollins has proved himself a top heel who can get a negative reaction wherever he goes and it may be the case that the WWE feel they can build him up as an even bigger heel once more before eventually pulling the trigger on a face turn.

It will be interesting to see what The Authority do on television now that Rollins is out of action, but it’s clear that they’re much stronger with Rollins involved so perhaps he needs to stick around with Triple H and Stephanie McMahon for a little while longer.

A heel turn for Roman Reigns has been mooted for quite some time now and chances are the juggernaut will make the switch in 2016.

Not only that, but Reigns could even be the WWE World Heavyweight Champion in the coming months and a lengthy run will be expected of him.

It remains doubtful that he will side with The Authority but even if he doesn’t the fans will be fully behind Rollins with this.

This would also help Reigns go over as a heel as fan support would be so strong for Rollins. It’s definitely a feud that will take place and it could happen as early as mid-2016.

This one is probably the likely feud to take place upon Rollins’ return to the WWE, and a SummerSlam match has already been rumoured to take place.

Rollins won’t be back in time for WrestleMania which means a number of matches have been scrapped. For Rollins’ own health, it would be a good idea not to rush his return and SummerSlam seems like a suitable event to make his comeback.

Triple H will definitely continue to be a top heel on the main roster and chances are it will fall to a face Rollins to return and take down The Game.

This one is more fantasy booking, but you can’t rule anything out at this stage. Nobody knows what Reigns and Dean Ambrose will be doing by the time Rollins returns, but a Shield reunion could potentially be on the cards.

It would definitely make sense if Reigns and Ambrose are on the back foot against any team, maybe even The Authority and Rollins could make his return to even up the numbers.

It doesn’t mean it has to be a full-time reunion, it would be a fantastic way to ease him back into action though and fans would love to see the iconic group team up once more.
