The PSG forward said, as per BBC Sport: "They said they were going to send me to retirement. I sent their whole nation into retirement."

Those quotes are just latest in a long list of hilarious points throughout the 34-year-old's career. So we have compiled a list of seven of Ibrahimovic's funniest moments. Enjoy.

During his time with Italian outfit Inter Milan, Ibrahimovic was still garnering a reputation as one of football's biggest personalities.

The Swede was doing an interview that was interrupted because he was supposed to start training. However, his response was brilliant.

When the forward was Barcelona, a picture surfaced of himself and Gerard Pique that led many to question his sexual orientation.

A journalist decided to confront Ibrahimovic while he was in his car, and the whole exchange was recorded. See it for yourself below.

Having risen to prominence with 16 goals in 40 games as a teenager at Malmo, Ibrahimovic was one of the hottest prospects in European football.

Arsene Wenger was keen on his signature and invited the Swede to north London, even printing his name and the number nine onto an Arsenal top.

Done deal right? Wrong. Wenger wanted to offer him a trial, to which Ibra responded: "Zlatan doesn't do trials."

Two years ago, Sweden were involved in another qualifying play-off for a major tournament.

Despite Ibrahimovic's best efforts, they crashed out to Cristiano Ronaldo and Portugal.

His response: "One thing is for sure, a World Cup without me is nothing to watch so it is not worth while to wait for the World Cup."

During a Serie A game between PSG and Saint Etienne, the striker was involved in a war of words with defender Paul Baysse.

As the back and forth continued Ibra asked who he was, and even checked the name on the back of Baysse's shirt just to make sure.

During a game between Liverpool and Ajax, Ibrahimovic produced a sumptous flip-flap go past Stephane Henchoz.

When asked about the piece of skill after the game, the Swede said: "First I went left and he did, too. Then I went right and he did, too. Then I headed left and he headed out to buy a hot dog."

Former PSG defender Zoumana Camara had the chance to interview his then teammate on French television.

But before Camara could get down to the real questions, Ibrahimovic absolutely burned him. Watch the clip below.

Here is his free-kick that ultimately sealed Sweden's place at Euro 2016.
