Shakira and Gerard Pique are not being blackmailed over a home-made sex video, according to the player's spokesperson.

The Daily Mail have reported that a spokesperson of the Barcelona star has denied claims that the high-profile couple are being threatened by a former employee.

According to the same report, Diario Vasco claims that the duo have been told to hand over a 'big sum of money' to stop the video containing 'erotic content' being released, but it now appears that this isn't true.

Pique and Shakira are one of the most famous couples in Spain, with the latter having enjoyed incredible success in the music industry. However, despite the sensational claims, it seems that the duo aren't currently being held to ransom.

The famous couple have been together for five years and have two sons, so they will no doubt be troubled by the recent speculation surrounding them.

Pique focus

Ultimately, Pique won't want anything to get in the way of his preparations ahead of a huge weekend for himself and his team. The Catalans are set to travel to the Santiago Bernabeu to take on rivals Real Madrid in what looks set to be another epic El Clasico.

Pique and Co. currently sit at the summit of La Liga, but they must avoid defeat to keep Real from joining them. With the prospect of facing Ronaldo on the horizon, Pique will certainly be hoping that things calm down off the pitch in the coming days.

Who do you think will win this weekend's huge game? Have your say below!
