Barcelona star Luis Suarez believes Neymar is now the second-best player in world football, behind teammate Lionel Messi.
Neymar has been in magnificent form over the past 18 months and Suarez now feels the Brazil international is playing at a higher level than Real Madrid superstar Cristiano Ronaldo.
Ronaldo is the current holder of the prestigious Ballon d’Or award but could miss out on a top-two finish for the first time since 2010 when the next showpiece ceremony takes place in January.

Neymar scored 39 goals in 51 appearances last season and, crucially, helped Barcelona secure another historic treble - scoring in the finals of both the Copa del Rey and the UEFA Champions League.
Ronaldo, meanwhile, netted a remarkable 61 goals in 54 appearances last term but failed to win a major trophy - with the exception of the UEFA Super Cup and FIFA Club World Cup.
Video: Luis Suarez hails Neymar
“He’s in fantastic form at the moment,” Suarez said of Neymar ahead of Sunday’s Clasico at the Bernabeu. “I think today you can say he’s only behind Leo. It can be said that he’s the second-best player in the world, you can see why he came to Barca.
“Players this good are incredible and it makes you proud as a teammate.”
Neymar and Suarez to start v Real Madrid
With Messi unlikely to make the starting line-up despite returning to training following a lengthy injury lay-off earlier this week, the onus will once again fall on Suarez and Neymar to provide the goals against Real Madrid this weekend.
Neymar currently leads the race for the Pichichi with 11 La Liga goals this season, while Suarez is next in line with nine.
Neymar looks destined to win the Ballon d'Or
If he continues at this rate, Neymar is very likely to become the first player other than Messi or Ronaldo to win the Ballon d’Or since Kaka in 2007.
