Liverpool looking at Schalke winger Leroy Sane

Liverpool have made an enquiry for Schalke winger Leroy Sane but are yet to bid for the Bundesliga ace. In fact, with Jurgen Klopp still assessing his squad, the Daily Mail claim that it's unlikely the Merseyside outfit will step up their interest in the talented star in the January transfer window. Sane, who is still only 19-years-old, has come to prominence in Germany's elite division recently, so it's not entirely surprising that Liverpool scouts are taking a look at him. Meanwhile, Daniel Sturridge could be in contention to star against Manchester City on Saturday. The England international hasn't featured under the guidance of Klopp at Anfield after suffering a knee injury in training at the start of October, but it now appears that he could be handed a place on the bench at the Etihad.
