New footage released today by the UFC captures the moment Ronda Rousey's family witnessed the superstar's stunning knockout against Holly Holm live from ringside.

Included in the "Thrill and Agony" preview video for UFC Fight Pass (which can be seen further down this article), their reaction to seeing Rousey KO'd by Holm is juxtaposed with the jubilation of the latter's own family.

As you might expect considering the drama of the night, the full spectrum of emotions are on show in the video which also shows previously unseen footage of both fighters making their way backstage after the fight.

Capturing the intensity of the occasion, you can see how the friends and family of both UFC fighters live and breathe every moment of what was a crazy six-minute bout inside the Octagon.

In particular, Holm's husband Jeff Kirkpatrick (in the green t-shirt) and Rousey's sister Maria Burns-Ortiz (the pink hoodie) are well and truly caught up in the roller coaster ride.

Contrasting emotions

For Rousey's corner, Saturday night's outcome was a whole new experience for them, having watched the 28-year-old go undefeated through her previous 12 fights in UFC.

And, unsurprisingly, the decision kick to the head from Holm left them just as shocked as the rest of the world.

For Holm's family, meanwhile, the knockout shot was just the start of the celebrations.

As the video shows, all of those connected to 'The Preacher's Daughter' were in jubilant mood after the fight and, considering Holm was a huge underdog coming into the bout, it's unlikely that excitement has died down quite yet.
