Football News

Mick Foley may not have a role in the WWE right now, but he is certainly an avid watcher, and attendee, of the organization's shows.

The Hall of Famer regularly comments on what he sees as the positive and negatives of the current WWE product, and he was back at it today. This time, though, it was the fans, not the wrestlers, who were the topic of conversation.

Called out

Taking to social media, Foley had some stern words for fans who had been in attendance at a recent NXT show.

According to NoDq.com, the comments are in response to sections of the NXT crowd who have been chanting and calling out Diva, Eva Marie, and her wrestling ability.

Foley continued his rant against the fans in subsequent Tweets, even going so far as to say he had stopped watching the NXT product altogether such was his annoyance with the crowd.

Taking sides

Eva Marie has taken her fair share of criticism since emerging as one of the rising stars of the Diva division, with many fans having argued the red-headed star lacks the wrestling ability to make it in the business.

Foley, though, has long been a champion of Marie, back in September even go so far as to predict she was destined for greatness over the next 12 months.

Unfortunately for Foley and Marie, however, those watching her week-in-week-out at Full Sail University don't seem to agree.

WWE fans: Do you think it's right for Foley to call out fans, or is it their right to boo a wrestler who is underperforming? Have your say in the comments below...
